سبزیجات واریگال یا اسفناج نیوزیلندی گونه ای سبریجات خوراکی از خانواده آیزواسه (ناز یخی) است.
گیاهی با برگهای سبز گوشتی که طعمی شبیه اسفناج دارد ولی هم خانواده با اسفناج نیست و از خانواده ناز یخی است.
این گیاه در شن های کنار ساحل نیوزیلند رشد میکند و گیاهی به شدت مقاوم به شرایط سخت است.
می تواند در خاک شور یا شن کنار دریا رشد کند گرچه در خاک حاصلخیر باغچه قطعا عملکرد بهتری دارد.
اسفناج نیوزیلندی دارای ویتامین کا ، ویتامین ب6 ، ویتامین سی و منیزیم است که برای بدن مفید است.
این سبزیجات به صورت خام یا پخته خورده میشود.
این گیاه نیوزیلندی برای اولین بار در ایران توسط تیم بانک بذر جنوب معرفی و عرضه میشود.
