تاماریلو درختی کوچک یا درختچهای از خانواده بادنجان و گوجه است. این درخت بیشتر به خاطر تاماریلو میوهای خوردنی به شکل تخممرغ که میدهد شناخته شده است. در آمریکای جنوبی با نام گوجه فرنگی درختی،هم شناخته شده است.
