Hibiscus makinoi or Okinawan Hibiscus and Makino’s Mallow is a species of Hibiscus found growing on the coast in Japan from the Ryukyu Islands to western Kyushu
Hibiscus makinoi is the Japanese cousin of the Chinese Hibiscus mutabilis. Hibiscus makinoi never reaches more than 5m tall. it dies to the ground each winter regrowing in spring into a widely-branched plant clothed with large, fuzzy, green maple-like leaves and adorned, starting in early October, with dark pink buds that open to 4-5″, large, very light pink flowers. An extract from this renaissance plant is found in anti-aging creams since it triggers the creation of estrogen.

ختمی مکینوی خویشاوند بسیار نزدیک درخت ختمی رنگارنگ است شکل برگ ها و بذر ها و گل ها در دو گونه بسیار شبیه به هم است
از عصاره این گیاه در کرم های ضد پیری و جوان سازی پوست استفاده میشود
