Plukenetia volubilis, commonly known as sacha inchi, sacha peanut, mountain peanut, Inca nut or Inca-peanut, is a perennial plant in the family Euphorbiaceae, having small trichomes on its leaves. It is native to much of tropical South America (Suriname, Venezuela, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and northwestern Brazil), as well as some of the Windward Islands in the Caribbean. Although its raw seeds and leaves contain toxins, these components are safe for consumption after roasting and heating. The roasted seeds can be consumed as nuts, and roasted leaves chewed or made into a tea.
اینکا نات یا “ساچا اینچی” گونه ای پیچک از خانواده افوربیا است که به عنوان آجیل خوراکی ارزش تجاری دارد و مصرف میشود
گیاه از خانواده افوربیا هست پس به صورت خام نمی توان دانه های گیاه را خورد و باید حتما در حرارت تفت داده شود سپس خورده شود
وقتی دانه ها یا برگ ها با حرارت تفت داده شوند یا با حرارت بو داده شوند همانند بو دادن تخمه و پاپ کرن قابل خوردن میشوند
که طعمی شبیه فندوق دارد و بسیار خوشمزه و گران است
