پیچ سرو تاک گونه ای کمیاب است که اکثرا با پیچ کاردینال اشتباه گرفته میشود. تفاوت در این است که سو تاک برگهای نازک و سوزنی دارد ولی کاردینال برگهای با زایده های ضخیم تر دارد. شکل گلهای دو گونه تقریبا شبیه هم هست ولی بذرهای سرو تاک باریک و کشیده ولی بذر کاردینال بیشتر گرد و کروی هستند
